SEO trends in 2024 πŸŽ„ πŸŽ…

Hi Reader,

This is my last email in 2023.

I'm almost done updating my SEO ebook and looking forward to Christmas break. πŸŽ…πŸ»πŸŽ

Before leaving for a holiday, I want to share what you can expect to change in the world of SEO in 2024.

1. AI-generated content will dominate the web

Next year, most of the content on the web will be AI-generated.

We may not like it, but it's a fact.

Google has launched multiple algorithm updates in 2023, drastically impacting websites with purely AI-generated content. I believe we will see even more ranking volatility in the following year.

2. High-quality backlinks will become even more important

You can quickly generate a lot of new and cheap content. However, building high-quality backlinks is more challenging. Moreover, Google already has many regulations to detect artificially placed backlinks.

I believe backlinks will remain among the top Google ranking factors in 2024.

3. SEO will go beyond backlinks and content

This trend was already strong in 2023 but will be even more critical next year.

Google already pays attention to who runs websites and what happens behind the scenes. Are website owners real humans? Are they experts in their fields? Are there mentions of them elsewhere on the web?

In a nutshell, you'll have to establish a broad online presence across various platforms because SEO will go beyond backlinks and content.
